My name is Nisara. I am Thai but I grew up in the United States. I speak English fluently and understand basic Dutch. In Thailand I worked as a kindergarten and primary school English teacher. Three years ago I moved to Belgium to study in KU Leuven in order to learn more about education; I graduated in 2017 with a master's degree in Educational Studies. I am now living in Leuven with my wonderful partner.
At the moment, I am happily working part-time as a pet-sitter and learning more about animals, particularly dogs and cats, while searching and working on some online freelance projects on the side. It is truly fortunate for me to be able to work with animals as it is something that I love and care about, other than teaching children. Currently, I am earning a diploma in canine behavior management as well as taking extra courses on pet care--pet nutrition, pet psychology, pet-sitting, and dog grooming. Also, I have long been motivated and interested in learning about the human-animal bond as well as what we can learn and benefit from each other. I believe that pets have played an important role in people’s life regardless of what type of pets they are and that they are family to us.
Although I have just started pet-sitting in 2018, I have been a dog owner for over 20 years. Additionally, I have done some volunteer work at an animal hospital in the US, assisting veterinarians and staffs. You can be sure that I will do my very best to take care of your pets and make sure that they are happy and safe! Any pets--young or old--are always welcomed. I also have some experience caring for sick pets. Please contact me any time if you have any questions. Thank you so much for taking the time to view my profile!
